Cefazolin Sodium for Injection

[Common name] Cefazolin Sodium for Injection

 

[Ingredients] The major ingredient of the product is cefazolin sodium.

 

[Indication] It is indicated for such infections caused by sensitive bacteria as the otitis media, bronchitis, pneumonia and respiratory tract infection, urinary tract infection, skin soft tissue infection, bone and joint infection, septicemia, infective endocarditis, hepatic system infection and eye, ear, nose, and throat infections. In addition, the product can serve as the preoperative preventive drug.

[Usage and Dosage] Usual dose for adult: slow intravenous injection, intravenous drip or intramuscular injection, 0.51g at each time, 24 times a day. For severe condition, the dose can be increased to 6g a day, administered through vein in 24 portion. For the prevention of post-operative infection: generally, 1g should be administered through intramuscular injection or vein 0.51h prior to operation. 0.51g should be added for those with operation time exceeding 6h, and 0.51g should be administered every 68h after operation until 24h.
