[Common name] Ceftizoxime Sodium for Injection

 

[Ingredients] Major ingredient is ceftizoxime sodium.

 

[Indication] It is indicated for lower respiratory tract infection, urinary tract infections, and abdominal cavity infection, pelvic infection, septicemia, skin soft tissue infection, bone and joint infection caused by sensitive bacteria, and the meningitis and simple gonorrhea caused by streptococcus pneumoniae or haemophilus influenza.

 

[Specification] (1)0.5g (2)1.0g, calculated on the basis of C13H13N5O5S2.

 

[Usage and Dosage] 1. Usual dose for adult: 12g at each time, once every 8-12h; For those with severe infection, it can be increased to 3-4g at each time, once every 8h. For non-complex urinary tract infection, 0.5g at each time, once every 12h; 2. Usual dose for infant and children aged six months and above: the dosage shall be calculated on the basis of 50mg/kg by weight, once every 6-8h.
