Miconazole Nitrate Cream

[Common name] Miconazole Nitrate Cream

 

[Ingredients] Each gram of product contains 0.02g main ingredient- miconazole nitrate, and excipients like the glycerol monostearate, white petroleum jelly, liquid paraffin, dimethyl sulfoxide, carbomer, 16-18 alcohol, span - 60, ethyl hydroxybenzoate, propylparaben, polysorbate 80, glycerin and triethanolamine.

 

[Type of function] The product is OTC drug among dermatological and gynaecological drugs.

 

[Indication] 1. It is indicated for skin and nail infection caused by dermophyte, saccharomycetes and other funguses. As the product has the antibacterial function toward gram positive bacteria, it is applicable for secondary infection arising from such bacteria. 2. It is applicable for vaginal infections and secondary infections caused by saccharomycetes (like the candidiasis) and gram positive bacteria.

[Usage and Dosage] 1. Skin infection: It is intended for external use. Apply on the clean affected part, twice a day (morning and night). When symptoms disappears (normally 2-5 weeks), it is necessary to go on 10 days to prevent recurrence. 2. Nail infection: Cut all infected nails as much as possible, apply the product on the affected part, once a day. When the infected nails become loosening (about 2-3 weeks), continue applying until new nails start growing. Normally, seven months will be taken for the effectiveness. 3. Monilia vaginitis: Before daily bedtime, squeeze the cream (about 5g) in the depth of vagina with applicator in 2 consecutive weeks, regardless of menstruation. It still works in case of recurrence.
